English for Adult Learners comes to life in many different ways at Burnley College: through writing or analysis of texts, or even healthy real-world debates and students’ own presentations. Texts in class are varied and relevant to current world issues, helping students to expand their cultural, political and social knowledge and broaden their minds. The many different topics studied – from 19th Century texts to Creative Writing – are an excellent way to ease Adult learners back into education, allowing them to use their own real-life experience to succeed in the classroom!
