OPEN EVENING FAQs

We know there can be a lot to think about, so we have answered some of the most asked questions about Open Evenings here for you.

Will I have the chance to chat to Tutors?

Absolutely.

The purpose of these Open Evenings is so you can meet Tutors and staff face-to-face and ask any questions.

Is there parking in the College grounds?

Yes.

There is plenty of free parking on Campus for Open Evenings. Enter the car park from the Vision Park side of the campus and follow the road around to the main car park. See the bottom of the page for our full address and postcode.

I can’t make it to any of the Open Evenings – what should I do?

Do not worry. We have plenty of options available.

You could take part in one of our online Burnley College Virtual Experiences. Where you can look around, explore and find out more – all without leaving your own home.

Got a question? Ask our School Liaison Team here

Can I apply at the Open Evening?

Yes!

You can apply whenever you are ready. If you find the perfect course, you can apply there and then. Or, if you want a bit of time to think about it, that’s fine too. Whatever your decision, we’re here to support you.

I’m not sure what I want to to study – can I chat through my options?

Absolutely!

Our School Liaison Team are at every Open Evening and are the best place to start if you’re not sure which pathway is for you. They are experts in helping you identify whether A Levels, Vocational, T Levels or an Apprenticeship is the route for you. You can also look at our Get Ready for College page which includes videos and resources to help you navigate your way from school to college.

I Don’t Know What I’m Going To Do!

Planning for the future is exciting, and also can be nerve-wracking. Maybe you’re unsure of which direction your future is headed.

Maybe you’re a parent and you’ve got no idea of what the difference between an A Level and a T Level is.

WE HAVE THE ANSWERS – Come and see us and find out more.

Here to Help
