Where can your course lead you?

Whether you’re beginning a journey to progress or change career, or you’re learning skills for life, we’ll help you get there. Our Student Services team will help you to:

  • Understand your next academic steps and make sure you are in the best possible position to stand out from the crowd when applying for further training or university-level study

  • Build a portfolio of professional qualifications to help you change career or earn promotion. From vital Mathematics and English courses to progress to university-level study or Access to Higher Education courses
  • Create a Personal Development Plan to help you reach your goals

  • Gain advice on every aspect of university-level study

Qualification levels

Entry level English for speakers of other languages (ESOL), entry level functional skills.

GCSE grades 3, 2, 1 or grades D, E, F, G, level 1 ESOL, level 1 functional skills, level 1 national vocational qualification (NVQ).

GCSE – grades 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4 or grades A*, A, B, C, CSE – grade 1, intermediate apprenticeship, level 2 ESOL, level 2 NVQ, O level – grade A, B or C.

A-level, access to higher education diploma, advanced apprenticeship AS-level, level 3 national certificate/national diploma, level 3 NVQ, T-level, tech level.

Certificate of higher education (CertHE), higher apprenticeship, higher national certificate (HNC).

Diploma of higher education (DipHE), foundation degree, higher national diploma (HND).

Degree apprenticeship, honours degree (BA, BSc), graduate certificate, graduate diploma, ordinary degree without honours.

Integrated master’s degree, for example master of engineering (MEng), master’s degree (MA, MSc), postgraduate certificate, postgraduate certificate in education (PGCE), postgraduate diplomaate certificate, graduate diploma, ordinary degree without honours.

Doctorate (PhD, DPhil).
