Congratulations to our exceptional Themis Apprentice Sam Walsh as he’s awarded runner up in the highly prestigious regional heat of the HIP Learner of the Year competition.

Sam, a Level 3 Plumbing Apprentice at Mark Hanson Plumbing and Heating was one of many hopefuls taking part in the heats at Wigan and Leigh College.

The annual competition is staged by HIP Magazine, one of the leading publications for learners in the plumbing industry.

Sam says it’s an honour to compete:

The HIPs competition is so well respected in the plumbing industry and is well known by all Apprentices. Lots of people who take part go on to have very successful careers.
Just taking part in the competition is an achievement and I am proud to be representing my college and my employers.
