There is an exciting new opportunity for a Sports Apprentice to join the Burnley Leisure and Culture team at their centres in Burnley.

They are looking for self-motivated people who aspire to develop themselves and are committed to learning. You will need good communication skills and be able to satisfy basic literacy and numeracy requirements. Working as a team and supporting others is essential.

Duties/main responsibilties include:

Based at St Peter’s Centre and Padiham Leisure Centre you will gain a broad range of experience – based knowledge of services provided within Burnley Leisure and Culture. As this role incorporates lifeguarding; a minimum swimming ability is required and you will be required to undertake a swimming test in addition to satisfying college assessments.

Duties include:

• Swim Teaching
• Supervision of bathers
• Gym inductions
• Cleaning operations.

Working week

The working week is based on a 3 week rota which includes weekends. The opening hours are between 6:30am – 10:30pm.
