Duties/main responsibilties include:

• Understand the goals and priorities of the business.
• Maintain Transfer Press tooling to ensure that production and quality targets are met.
• It is the responsibility of the post holder to promote health, safety and welfare throughout the company.
• Carry out maintenance and refurbishment of Press tools / Press tooling.
• Work towards being competent in using manual machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, surface and cylindrical internal/external grinding machines.
• Manufacture of spare tooling as and when required.
• Set up Transfer presses for changeover of job in a timely manner and hand over for production.
• Read and interpret Technical Drawings / Technical Specifications.
• Use and develop appropriate diagnostic tools to assist in resolving manufacturing problems.
• Treat people with dignity and respect and help to build a team culture.
• Actively utilise our H&T Excellence for generating and implementing improvement opportunities across your area.
• The post holder will attend training courses and learning events as necessary.
• Ensure that your work area is kept clean and tidy and well organised in line with 5S audits.
