Duties/main responsibilties include:
- Develop skills in Programming and operating CNC lathe, 3-axis and 5-axis routers.
- Use CAD/CAM software to program the machines to solid models, DXF and DWG files.
- Nest parts into sheets to achieve the most efficient sheet yield.
- Work as a team alongside other Machine Operatives and Engineers setting up the machines, distinguishing and identifying proper tooling/ fixtures and collets.
- Read engineering drawings and assist with building up a Bill of materials to quote customers.
- Gain an understanding of how to communicate effectively with suppliers and customers.
- Complete external training to develop knowledge and skills for CNC engineering and day-to-day production operations
- Follow company processes and standard operating procedures.
- Inspect finished components using measuring equipment.
- Assist in the efficient stock control of plastics
- Assist in the preparation of material for production
- Assist in the trimming, finishing and packaging of goods for dispatch.
- Attend daily meetings on continuous improvement.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
Other Responsibilities when required:
- Assisting other Departments when required
- Flexibility to work overtime/shifts when required
Working week
Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm
Friday 8am – 3pm
