As we move forward from the Covid-19 pandemic the importance of highly-trained care staff has never been greater and recognising the importance of meeting industry standards, Themis will ensure that your staff are the best of the best.

Neil Burrows

Director of Themis at Burnley College

“At Themis, we understand that to work in care is to make a positive difference to someone’s life, whether it be physical, emotional or practical – and it is important that our Adult Care Workers have the right values and behaviours, developing competences and skills to provide high quality compassionate care and support. We’re hoping to work with employers to fill any gaps they may have in their workforce, whilst at the same time upskill existing staff and progress their training and qualifications.”

The Adult Care Worker Level 2 Apprenticeship is for frontline staff who help adults with care and support needs to achieve their goals and live as independently and safely as possible.  It is the ideal entry level qualification into this profession and is a 15-month course.  The Lead Adult Care Worker Advanced apprenticeship is a Level 3 qualification which gives apprentices additional responsibilities for their role, giving them the confidence to supervise the work of others.

Neil Burrows added:

“All Themis apprenticeships are delivered by our industry-expert, experienced Tutors and the theory and practical elements, delivered in both the workplace and our award-winning campus, will train you to be the best of the best. By launching these two new apprenticeships this month we are hoping that we are answering the needs of the region’s Employers and providing professional qualifications for the hard-work of many Adult Care Workers in the industry around us.”

Themis is no stranger to recruiting staff for the care and medical sector, and additionally plays a huge role in helping this sector develop their workforce through the recruitment of Apprentices.  Recently they have seen a surge in recruitment for Business Adminstration Apprentices within GP Medical Practices across the region, in addition to apprenticeships in facilities management and digital marketing roles within the NHS.

The business landscape is changing due to Covid-19 and highly-skilled, motivated Apprentices have crucial roles to play in a variety of industries going forward, helping them adapt to new working practices, diversify and innovate through the very latest skills and knowledge.
