Themis Apprentice Engineer Connor helps supply Nightingale Hospitals

Connor Bonney, aged 19, from Great Harwood, is an apprentice with Walker Steel Laser Services, based in Church, Accrington, He is an essential part of a core team pressing bedside cabinets to be used in the NHS Nightingale Hospitals which have been converted, equipped and fitted at short notice to increase NHS capacity during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Managing Director Danny Newton has been full of praise for the hard work, commitment and motivation shown by Connor, who has been pulling out all the stops to see 4,000 bedside tables he and the Walker Steel Laser Services team have already shipped down to London’s NHS Nightingale Hospital. The team have since been working on a project to deliver an additional 4,000 units to two other locations.
