Burnley College is running many of these exciting Programmes in January and February to prepare school leavers for their future route after GCSEs.

Our Programmes include:

• Construction Professionals Programme – Starting 24/01/2022 – 5:30pm – 7pm

Take part in a range of practical activities in several traditional craft areas and building services.

• Early Years and Education Programme – Starting 10/01/2022 – 5:30pm – 6:30pm

Discover more about safely caring for young children, outdoor play, accident prevention and more.

• Environmental and Animal Management Programme – Starting 10/01/2022 – 5:30pm – 6:30pm

If you’re considering an Apprenticeship in Horticulture, explore the great outdoors, environmental and conservation issues, as well as discovering more about animals and their habitats.

• Fitness Professionals Programme – Starting 24/01/2022 – 5:30pm – 7pm

Train with professional athletes, take part in strength and conditioning exercises and fitness testing using the latest lab equipment.

• Future Boss Programme (Business) – Starting 17/01/2022 – 5:30pm – 7pm

Explore industry in detail, and enhance your business knowledge, skills, and behaviours.

• Health Professionals Programme – Starting 10/01/2022 – 5:30pm – 6:30pm

Develop your fascination with Anatomy and Physiology through practical activities while gaining an insight into the world of healthcare.

• Innovators Programme – Starting 22/02/2022 – 6pm – 8pm

Learn and develop skills in drawing, CAD, CAD-CAM, design, automation/3D printing and business improvement techniques, working alongside leading industry experts. For pupils in Years 9 and 10.

• Labnet Computing Programme – Starting 10/01/2022 – 5:30pm – 7pm

Learn how to code, build a website, implement a small network and create a computer game. Develop your knowledge of cutting-edge networking equipment and the latest computing software.

• Science Programme – Starting 10/01/2022 – 5:30pm – 6pm

Collect and analyse evidence from a crime scene, examine genes in a test tube, dissect organisms, explore genetics, test soil and identify species in pond dipping.

• Sport Professionals Programme – Starting 24/01/2022 – 5:30pm – 7pm

Discover careers in the Sports Industry, including roles such as Sports Therapy, Sports Rehabilitation, Sport Nutrition and Coaching with Physical Educational Teaching.

These great educational Programmes will provide Learners with valuable insights into their chosen subject, with a heavy focus on the practical aspects of their subjects which will give them a taste of life in some of the UK’s leading industries.
