Performing Arts student Amelia earns a place at top academy The Hammond, Chester

Congratulations Amelia Halsall!

Burnley College Sixth Form Centre Advanced Level Performing Arts  student Amelia Halsall (18), from Bacup, has accepted a place at one of the UK’s leading Dance, Drama and Music Schools.

Amelia starts studying at The Hammond, an associate College of the University of Chester, this September.

Amelia, who attended Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School says:

“I’m delighted. I was so excited when I found out I’d been accepted.

“I’ve wanted to be a singer since I was a four years old and I’ve worked hard following my passion.

“The auditions were really challenging because of the Covid-19 Pandemic, but I got so much support from my College Tutors, Poppy and Sammy.

“It takes me one step closer to my dream career, singing on a cruise ship and travelling the world.

“I’d like to thank everyone on my course, especially my Tutors too – they’ve encouraged and supported me every step of the way!”
