National T Levels Week highlights Burnley College’s T Level Courses

Burnley College Sixth Form Centre is marking National T Levels Week with a mission to ensure every learner in the area knows about these exciting new qualifications which tie academic excellence with first-hand industry experience.

Taking place from Monday 10 to Friday 14 October, the awareness week places the new Government qualifications in the spotlight as Burnley College adds a new T Level qualification to take learning to the next level.

With a new T Level in Health which started in September 2022 and more new T Levels to be added in the coming years, Burnley College is leading the way when it comes to giving young learners in Lancashire get the head start they need to achieve their dreams.

T Levels are an innovative new link between the world of education and industry. Designed alongside employers, they empower young people to work within industry itself and develop the latest skills, a professional attitude and practical knowledge alongside their academic studies.

Simply put, T Levels, are two-year qualifications which are the equivalent to three A Levels, designed with employers and progress to meaningful careers, a Higher Level or Degree Apprenticeship or specialist university study in mind. At the heart of every T Level course is a 45-day industry placement which will greatly benefit the learner, giving them:

Real-life industry experience with workers who do the job every day
The power to network and shape their career
The opportunity as learners to capitalise on fresh ideas and on-the-job perspectives
Build a powerful CV and portfolio of work while still learning

As a learning experience, T Levels offer the best of both worlds. Learners spend time on Burnley College’s £110 million Campus, with access to their unrivalled cutting-edge technology and industry experienced Tutors.

And, for at least 315 hours, they will be at the heart of business, training and working alongside an expert workforce, giving them the skills to finish their course workplace-ready.
