Go faster. Go further. Get fitter. Student turned trainer at Burnley College Sixth Form Centre urges everyone to get on their bikes
Sophie Stanworth is always on the move. From before she can remember she’s been active, passionate about health and fitness.
That’s what drew her to Burnley College Sixth Form Centre to gain valuable qualifications in the subject she loved so much:
I’ve always been into health and fitness from a young age.
I find it calming and relaxing. It’s time you can take to yourself, away from everything else.
“The added benefit of course is you’re making yourself stronger, fitter and healthier with every step or push of the pedal.”
Sophie is now Lead Cycle Co-ordinator at Fitness Evolution, Burnley College’s onsite Strength and Conditioning partner and onsite gym.
She’s just finished her Advanced Level Sport and Exercise Science qualification here at our £110 million Campus:
The facilities are amazing. You cannot find anything like this anywhere else in the region.
That’s just one reason why I came here to work. Another would be the incredible standard of the Tutors.
