Get a £3,000* boost from the Government for hiring an Apprentice

If you’ve hired an Apprentice since 1 October 2021, or are hiring one before 31 January 2022, you can apply for a £3,000 payment from the Education and Skills Funding Agency*.

You have until 15 May 2022 to claim for any employees you upskill through an Apprenticeship or recruit an Apprentice. You can claim for more than one Apprentice hired in that timescale.

The payment is in addition to the existing £1,000 employers already receive for boosting their workforce with an Apprentice aged 16 to 18, or under 25s who have left local authority care or who have an education plan.

This payment does not have to be repaid. It is a Government incentive to encourage the hiring of Apprentices and deliver valuable skills to help shape the future.
