Burnley College University Courses’ Graduates are celebrating after achieving outstanding results in their Business Management degree studies.
With six graduates achieving First Class degrees accredited by Buckinghamshire New University – they are some of the best results BCUC has seen from just one course.
Mary Harron, from Nelson; Emilly Williamson, Lois Hepple and Matthew Bradley, from Burnley; Lauren Holly, from Cliviger; and Matthew Todd, from Gisburn, all achieved the highest result possible in their Business Management degree.
BCUC’s results were excellent across the board in the School of Business and Management, with 74% of graduates securing a 2:1 honours degree or higher.
The University also saw firsts from graduates in its Schools of Creative Industries, Health and Wellbeing and Teaching and Education.
BCUC Dean Nina Parkin says the graduates have remained focussed on their university-level studies despite the challenges of Covid-19. She adds:
“To get a first-class degree always means the learner has gone above and beyond in their research and writing.
“Our learners have continued to exceed expectations and deliver exceptional work, worthy of a first, despite the pressure Covid-19 has placed on their learning for the last two years.”
“They have shown determination, innovation, team work and the experience of getting involved in projects at the heart of industry is invaluable to them going forward as they prepare for rewarding careers where they can really make a difference. Every graduate, every lecturer and every member of staff deserves praise.”
