DEAD GOOD performance from SPOOKY STUDENTS leaves Lancashire Chamber of Commerce SCREAMING for more!

A terrifyingly talented team of Burnley College Sixth Form Centre Performing Arts and Art and Fashion Students brought thrills, chills and true skill to this year’s Chamber of Commerce Spooktacular Ball at Crow Wood Hotel and Spa Resort.

And off the back of their performance – they we’re immediately rebooked for another local business event, “The Healthier Heroes Annual Ball” at Burnley Football Club.

The event, which took place on October 14 at the luxury Burnley hotel and spa resort, saw our talented starts perform to spooky classics like Thriller and Ghostbusters as well as massive pop tracks like Bad Romance by Lady Gaga.

Other students became “immersive scare actors”, welcoming (and possibly frightening!) guests as they arrived in the lobby.

A and AS Level Art and Fashion Students worked tirelessly backstage transforming performers into terrifyingly gruesome and cool characters.

Event leader and co-choreographer Poppy Olah – Lecturer in Dance says it was an incredible evening:

“I’m so proud of every single person who made this incredible event the shinning and spooky success it was.

“It’s such valuable opportunity for our Students to gain the kind of commercial dance experience, working with real clients, which will set them up for their future careers.”

Co-choreographer and Programme Leader for Dance and Performing Arts, Sammy Allen said it was so much more than just one night’s entertainment and excitement:

“At every single stage of this process we’ve factored in how this experience will add to their learning journey.

“From gaining real work experience in real-world circumstances – helping them develop strong professional relationships with the client, to being able to document and evidence this experience toward their qualifications.
