We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Teacher of A Level Biology with the potential to deliver outstanding student achievement and a commitment to driving forward the Science provision within our A Level division to ensure student success.

This post would suit newly qualified graduates who wish to gain a teaching qualification or newly qualified teachers. Lecturer A’s have reduced contact hours and are supported through a mentoring system and staff development programmes to develop their classroom practice.

As an ambitious Trainee Teacher, you will work closely in the A Level Division to promote and provide an excellent learning experience which ensures high achievement for all students. You will also contribute fully to divisional and College teams including sharing best practice and being involved in developing the curriculum.

As a Trainee Lecturer your contact teaching hours, relevant to subject specialism, will increase as you gain in skills and experience.

With a relevant degree level qualification in a Biology, ideally you will possess a PGCE or Certificate in Education. However should you not have this, the College has an excellent Staff Development programme where a recognised teaching qualification can be gained.

The salary for this post is up to £26,817.
