A Grand Night Out! Burnley College Sixth Form Centre Students help relaunch live music in Lancashire
Two of our outstanding Advanced Level Music Students are helping re-ignite the live music scene in Lancashire – performing this Sunday at “A Grand Regathering”
The live concert for a specially invited audience at The Grand, Clitheroe, will be streamed too – so you can support your fellow Students by watching at www.thegrandvenue.co.uk/events/grand-regathering-live/
It’s this Sunday (26 September) – starting at 8pm.
Joel Taylor and Meeka Bradley, both former pupils at Bowland High School, will take to the stage along with a variety of other artists.
The event is a celebration of the reopening of The Grand after 18 months of closure. It was one of the many thousands of venues around the UK affected by the pandemic.
Alongside Joel and Meeka, the incredible evening of entertainment features local ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ stars Ella Shaw (singer) and Jasper Cherry (magician) and all-round musical genius Marc Winstanley. The event is hosted by Channel 4’s Aaron Calvert.
Multiple other students from our music courses will also be supplying technical support for this and many more upcoming events, including concerts by bands Nubiyan Twist and LiveWire.
“We’re delighted and so proud that Joel and Meeka have been invested to perform. They share the same passion for live music as everyone at The Grand and want to see live music return to the heights it was pre-pandemic.”
“We’ve had a close relationship with The Grand for many years now and they offer our students an incredible opportunity to experience what working in the music industry – on stage and backstage – is like.
“For our students to get a chance to work alongside their experts backstage and front of house providing technical support is amazing too.
“We’d love it if you could join the stream on Sunday and show your support!”
