Essential Skills
GCSEs and Functional Skills
Maths and English are vital subjects, required by the majority of employers. At Burnley College we can make these subjects accessible – through a Functional Skills or GCSE-level route – as well as offering an opportunity to study for a GCSE in Biology for those who need a Science qualification to progress in their career journey.
ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
ESOL qualifications are recognised nationally and are a perfect route for individuals who do not speak English as their first language to develop their skills in understanding, speaking, listening and writing English. A variety of programmes are on offer, based on current skills and knowledge, and to help with Citizenship applications.
