High School Students Experience Life at Burnley College During Taster Week

Burnley College welcomed over 1000 Year 10 students from more than twelve schools throughout the region to experience our renowned and engaging Taster Week.

The pupils immersed themselves in two out of twelve zones, with subjects as varied as Construction, Beauty and Cyber Security. These subject-specific sessions were designed to demonstrate to students the exhaustive and vast opportunities they provide.

The students visited our state-of-the-art campus and experienced their chosen zones with our cutting-edge facilities. These zones were created to offer students a glimpse into the extensive opportunities they provide.

Taster Week is an initiative created by Burnley College’s School Liaison team and equips Year 10 learners for the crucial next steps in their educational journey. The event was designed to influence and inspire students regarding the eclectic range of courses available at Burnley College.

Taster Week allowed pupils to gather hands-on experience in their chosen area.  The interactive and engaging week featured a series of dynamic workshops, led by industry experts. This exciting event encouraged students to investigate the career opportunities within each ‘zone’.

At Burnley College, we Build Futures and Change Lives and Taster Week helps students to decide on what they may like to study with us at Burnley College.
