About the course
Our exciting T Level course will provide you with the core knowledge, practical skills and workplace experience that will feed your curiosity and prepare you to take the next step towards a successful, rewarding career or University-level study. This course allows you to specialise in the area of Early Years Educator. There are 3 core elements to a T Level programme: core academic skills and knowledge and an in-depth understanding of the Early Years Sector. You will also complete 750 placement hours.
Entry Requirements
Minimum of five GCSEs at Grade 5 and above in a good range of subjects, including mathematics and English.
Assessment
Core Modules: you will be assessed through two externally set exams and an employer set project, this is a controlled assessment that will be completed within College and linked to your placement. Specialist Modules: there are three externally set assessments, one will be an observation of your knowledge and skills from your industrial placement, the others will be exam-based assessments.
Careers & Progression
On successful completion of your T Level study programme, you will gain a Level 3 qualification (similar to A Levels and Advanced Vocational qualifications) and will be able to choose between moving into a skilled occupation; a Higher or Degree- Level Apprenticeship or University study.

Enrichment Activities
During the course, students have the opportunities to engage with a range of activities designed to enrich their time at college. These enrichment sessions will allow you to develop skills for the sector in fun and engaging sessions which are organised to bring learning to life and support your development and progression. Previous enrichment has included:
- Guest talks by employers with the sector to bring your progression and employment opportunities to life
- Sessions led by industry experts to allow experiences in early years and education careers
- Work related skills such as preparing for interviews and CV writing
- Forest school experience
- Bowling
- Early Years simulation sessions
- Sensory rooms
