About the course
This course is being offered through Skills Bootcamps - part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life. As part of this Bootcamp you will gain knowledge and practical experience in the following areas;
- Robotics
Systems and Basic Procedures
- Fieldbus
and Reference Systems
- Motion
Programming
- Further Robot Programming
This course in Robotic Operations is designed to provide
focused and specialist vocational training in industrial automation with a
clear work-related emphasis. It will provide you with the knowledge,
understanding and skills required to use robotic automation across a range of
sectors.
It will also help to develop your abilities in robot
programming and engineering, allowing you to understand the specific terms and
techniques associated with working on a robotic system.
Skills Bootcamps are part-funded by the Government and offer
a flexible way for you to gain the skills you need to upskill and progress
within your role.
This course will be delivered using a blend of traditional
classroom-style teaching and practical hands-on sessions. The combination of
both methods will help you to gain the understanding you need to practically
apply the knowledge gained in your current / future role. This Skills Bootcamp
will also include mentoring from the tutor, who is an experienced industry
professional and will provide guidance and support to you throughout your
training.
Automation and Robotics are at the forefront of the latest
industry developments across a range of engineering sectors. This course builds
on the programming techniques focusing on non-routine procedures which you can
use to enhance your programming ability. You will also learn the system
procedures, allowing you to access system memory, backup and restore programs.
There will also be an introduction to the WinC5G software which can be used for
more advanced robot programming. This course will provide an opportunity for
you to demonstrate the knowledge, understanding and skills that you have gained
across all units of the Skills Bootcamp in Robotic Operations.
