About the course

This pre-advanced, one year course will give you the opportunity to explore and develop skills in Performing Arts and related areas. The units you will study will cover a wide range of skills such as how to use a stimulus for a performance, and rehearsing for a performance across acting, music and dance. Transferable skills will be developed in areas such as being organised, working with others and research skills as well as developing a personal progression plan in preparation for your next steps. Your assessments will be coursework based, both theory and practical. You will be expected to present information that you have gathered, keep a working logbook, record or reflective journal, take part in oral or written presentations as well as take part in role play, interviews and other activities.  You will be assessed on the rehearsal process and final performance of any practical work. This course will enable you to progress on to our level 2 courses within Performing Arts and Music.
