About the course

This course is aimed at those considering a career in health and social, health and science or the early years and education sector. Develop knowledge and awareness of the types of provision in these sectors and the roles played by workers, from the principles and values through to health and safety and working with others. There is the option to take units in more specialist areas such as learning disability, sensory loss or mental health, along with the building of skills and behaviours to prepare for working in the sector.

Two GCSEs at Grade 3 or above or a relevant entry level qualification.

Assessment

All units will be internally assessed using a range of methods which include : written assignments or tasks such as designing a leaflet or booklet, charts or diagrams or setting up an information board

You could progress onto Level 2 Diplomas such as a Level 2 in Health and Social Care, Level Health and Science or Level 2 Early Years Educator.
