About the course

Geology A Level gives you the opportunity to study geological processes that operate at and below the Earth's surface, evidence of past life and the use of geological materials. You will examine the processes and products that form our planet and its roots, as well as uses of geological resources, addressing environmental, technological, safety and economic issue, plus geological concepts.

Entry Requirements

At least five GCSEs at grade 5 or above in a good range of subjects, including both English and Mathematics. Additional entry requirements for this course are: a grade 6 in science.

Careers & Progression

On successful completion of this course you may decide to progress to a wide variety of Degree courses at university; a Higher or Degree Apprenticeship or a successful career as a Geoscientist, Engineering Geoscientist, Hydrogeologist, Minerals Surveyor, Environmental Consultant.
