About the course

Our BSc (Hons) Strength and Conditioning degree combines your honours degree with a fully UKSCA accredited strength and conditioning qualification. You will study in our new state of the art 6.5m campus with a high performance centre including S&C room, cryotherapy suite and recovery spa and your training will look at underlying scientific principles from the sports science disciplines of physiology, biomechanics, sports psychology and sports coaching with practical strength and conditioning training. By studying this course at BCUC, you’ll first develop the fundamental knowledge and skills of Sport & Exercise Science to then specialise in year 2 and year 3 in the core principles you need to become a confident and effective strength and conditioning practitioner.

The Strength and Conditioning industry has grown rapidly over the past few years within sports, active leisure employers and other regulatory bodies. Which has responded with rising demand for strength and conditioning skills and knowledge. This qualification will help you on your pathway towards working with elite level performers, accrediting you to work and nurture youth amateur athletes and assist elite S&C coaches in high performance environments.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will achieve a Level 3 S&C trainer diploma, accredited by the UK Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSCA) alongside your BSc (Hons) Strength and Conditioning degree.
