About the course
The HNC in Music Production is a one-year course designed to provide you with a range of industry-focused skills, knowledge and contextual understanding around music technology, creation, and production. This would naturally lead on to completing a HND ‘second year’, where you can focus on advanced production and professional skills modules.
This course covers the equipment and techniques used in modern music production, with specific areas of focus on studio recording, creative synthesis, DAW production, digital audio technology, and applied sound principles.
The course will also cover the professional skills and practice required for the modern music industry, such as creative project management, reflective practice and lifelong learning, health, safety and wellbeing, and sustainability. You will also explore the music industry workforce and structure, learning about the range of job roles that you might undertake or work with during your creative career.
With these core-skills under your belt you will be in an excellent position to continue onto your specialism on the HND, or to start building your career in the music industry.
