About the course
Autism is a lifelong developmental disability which affects how people communicate and interact with the world. One in 100 people are on the autism spectrum and there are around 700,000 autistic adults and children in the UK.

A prior level 2 qualification in, learning support, social care or health care.
Modules
Our offer will include opportunities to develop your approach in supporting individuals with autism. Support you to consider current legislation and theories relating to autism that have developed over time. Transition will be a key area for consideration as you share practice and experiences. A range of therapeutic interventions will be explored as we delve into the public perception of autism, the media and art world present to us.
Assessment
All units will be individually internally assessed using a range of methods that you produce within a portfolio of evidence.
Careers & Progression
On completion of this qualification you may wish to progress on to an Access to HE course or Foundation Entry Degree or a more specialist role within your employment
