About the course

You will spend time in the classroom and state of the art health simulation environments in college as well as completing a mandatory 315 hours of placement in a suitable setting across the 2 years of study. Our tutors include industry specialists with previous careers in the health sector


There are 3 core elements to this T Level: Core academic scientific skills in Biology and Anatomy & Physiology. Industry-specialist skills and knowledge in Healthcare. You will have the opportunity to study overall care needs to ensure comfort and wellbeing, assist registered health professionals with clinical and therapeutic tasks and interventions, psychological measurements, clinical tasks, meeting daily needs, care.

Entry Requirements

5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above including English, Mathematics and Science or a relevant Level 2 qualification including English, Mathematics and Science

PO1: Assist the adult nursing team with clinical tasks

PO3: Assist with skin integrity assessments and with the care and treatment of skin conditions 

Assessment

You will be assessed by a combination of exam assessment, project work and synoptic assessment.

Year 1:

Core component:

• 2 written examinations

• Employer set project (ESP)

Graded A*- E and U

Year 2:

Occupational specialism component 

• a case study assessment

• 2 practical activities assessments: one for the core: Supporting Healthcare, and one for the occupational specialism

• a professional discussion

Graded Pass, Merit or Distinction

Ambulance Care Assistant, Care Worker, Emergency Care Assistant, Adult Nurse, Midwife, Allied Health Professions including Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy.
