About the course

You'll be taught in high-spec workspaces before heading out into the workplace where your learning will be brought to life and you'll gain valuable experience, working alongside professionals in your chosen field.  This is a 3 A level equivalent where knowledge, skills and behaviours are developed to enhance career opportunities in digital fields.  You will complete an industry placement with experts who will guide your development.  You can progress into employment; a higher apprenticeship or onto university. This new course is being driven by the industry.

Entry Requirements

To study this T level you will need: At least five GCSEs at Grade 6 or above in a good range of subjects, including English Language, Mathematics and a Digital / IT based qualification.

Assessment

You will be assessed in a variety of ways. You will complete assignments, undertake observations and present your work in a variety of formats. Your staff team develop assessment opportunities throughout the programme and ensure the continuous assessment of your knowledge, skills and behaviours. Employers will pay a part in your development and assessment and you will review your performance regularly. There may be examination based units within your qualification linked to the T Level.

Careers & Progression

Career development includes: Web Developer / Web Designer / Data Technician / Software Developer / Digital Marketer / IT Business Analyst. Progression can be to Higher Apprenticeships, employment or university.

Equipment Needed

You will need an inquisitive mind; desire to excel in the digital field and be adept at mathematics and information technology related skills. You do not require your own specific digital equipment

Classrooms and work spaces will be kitted out with associated equipment

Student services offer a wide range of support for extra activities. We host many enrichment opportunities and your staff team will support any new ideas or developments. We insist on live projects as part of work completion to enhance skills and wider skills such as Collaboration, Communication, Critical Thinking and Creativity.
