About the course

This programme enables you to extend your prior qualifications to gain an honours degree related to your specific area of practice. The modules are designed to extend your knowledge and skills relating to practice, developing reflexivity, enhanced confidence and critical decision-making skills. You will be encouraged to develop autonomy and personal responsibility within your professional role and for your own personal development.

Entry Requirements

Applicants will have 120 credits at Level 5 and GCSE maths and English at C/ 4 or equivalent and will normally be working in a relevant area of education or childcare. Evidence of working in a relevant practice area will be required prior to commencing the programme. Students choosing the modular option who intend to complete this degree programme can only use a maximum of 60 credits as Accredited Prior Certificated Learning (APCL). You will also be required to attend a face to face interview.

Contemporary Issues, Applied Practitioner Research, Leadership and Management, Introduction to Safeguarding

Assessment

Assessments include written essays, reports and portfolios.
