About the course

It is important to renew your first-aid certificate after 3 years to maintain your qualification. This refresher course can be taken when the three year certificate in first aid at work is due to expire and allows an updated certificate to be issued. A period of 28 days is allowed following the expiration of a previous qualification before a three day first aid at work must be taken. The programme includes:- Updates on first-aid techniques, changes in first aid at work legislation, assessing an incident, managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, heart attack, choking, head and spinal injuries, fractures, anaphylaxis, use of a defribillator. Continuous theory and practical assessment.
