About the course

Develop your raw talent into what you want to achieve. Pre-advanced music will help you to progress comfortably onto an advanced level qualification. This qualification also acts as a perfect transition for students with minimal musical background/skills that may need time and support to develop in order to thrive and achieve their potential.

This qualification covers a vast range of areas that are linked to music industry skills and also aligned to the requirements of the subsequent advanced level  courses. These areas include; exploring music, professional development, self promotion in the music industry, music performance, music production, creating music and a music project. This project provides flexibility for you to further explore a particular area of your own musical interest.

The course is open to both instrumental performers and non-instrumental 'producers'. It allows for the skills development of both performance and production pathways, with lots of shared collaborative projects that will provide a well-rounded set of music industry skills.
