To enter this course you will require 4x Grade 3 GCSE qualifications including maths and English.
Modules
On your course you will study the following modules: Working in engineering (M) Principles of Engineering Technology (M) Principles of manufacturing technology Using bench fitting techniques Maintenance of mechanical devices and Equipment Fabricating sheet metal
Assessment
This qualification is assessed in a number of ways to provide a clear indication of candidate knowledge and skills. These include: • online multiple-choice (e-volve) • internally marked questions short-answer question papers • assignments containing practical tasks and short-answer questions.
Careers & Progression
Successful completion of the Level 2 Diploma allows for progression onto Level 3 Engineering. A grade 4 at GCSE Maths and English will also be required.
