About the course

The Net Zero Strategy is a UK government strategy that sets out plans to reduce climate-wrecking emissions and decarbonise all sectors of the UK economy, from transport to agriculture. These plans are needed to meet its target of net zero emissions by 2050, and the shorter-term targets that ensure action starts now, and isn't kicked down the road.

We must drastically reduce emissions over the next decade and work towards net zero by 2050 to prevent the most devastating effects of climate change. 

This course will provide an overview of the principles of sustainable development, communities and energy management, and the social responsibility of businesses in relation to sustainability. Learners will also look at the principles of waste management and sustainable transport and applying sustainability in their own setting through zero waste.

Assessment

You will be assessed throughout your study by a series of assessment questions which are built into the course. Your answers are automatically saved and are available for you to revise and edit at any point before submission. You submit your assessment answers to your Tutor for marking, who will give you feedback on each question.

This course will enhance your understanding of Environmental Sustainability which will increase awareness of strategies and methods that could be beneficial to the workplace environment.
