About the course
Ths level of studty is ideal for school leavers starting out on their future Engineering career. It provides the basics required to understand fundamental engineering principles.
The qualification is a mixture of classroom and workshop based sessions. It is assessed through practical tasks and theoretical tests. To complete the unit a range of mandatory and optional units need to be completed.

The entry requirements for this course are three grade 2 GCSEs including maths and English.
You will be assessed through a range of practical tasks and paper based theory questions. These can will be multiple choice and short answer.
Careers & Progression
Successful completion of this course will allow for progression onto the Level 2 Engineering programme. It is also suitable for those learners wishing to apply for an apprenticeship in Engineering
