About the course
The introduction to life drawing course is designed to equip you with a basic range of observational drawing skills. You will observe the life model in a number of poses over the duration of the course, exploring a range of media- including pencil, charcoal, ink and mixed media. This course is suitable for people who have no experience of life drawing and wish to develop a new skillset which may lead to more advanced courses. You will be introduced to gestural, contour and schematic measured drawing. The course will take place in a specialist classroom within the creative arts and media division and be delivered by an experienced art and design lecturer, who will provide feedback and support throughout the sessions.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course just a keen interest in developing drawing skills.
Careers & Progression
Completion of the beginners course in life drawing could lead to future intermediate and advanced level courses. The intermediate and advanced courses will be designed to run on the same night and time to facilitate progression with minimal disruption.

A2 paper, easels, drawing boards and some specialist drawing media will be provided.
