About the course

Welcome to our Introduction to Knitting class! Whether you're a complete novice or just looking to brush up on your skills, this class is for you. Our friendly, experienced instructor will guide you step by step through the process of creating your own beautiful knitted projects.

Not only will you learn the basics of knitting, such as casting on, knit and purl stitches, and binding off, but you'll also have the opportunity to work on fun, easy projects that will have you feeling confident in no time. Plus, you'll be able to socialise and make new friends while you knit!

So grab your needles and yarn and join us for a fun, relaxing, and rewarding evening of knitting. We can't wait to see what you create!

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, it is suitable for absolute beginners or anyone seeking to revisit a past hobby.

Careers & Progression

The Introduction to Knitting course can lead to a progression through the Intermediate and Advanced courses. The skills developed through all three courses could lead to enterprising opportunities in craft markets, online markets such as Etsy, or similar; as well as using the skill to develop your artistic practice.

Equipment Needed

To undertake this course you will need to bring your own knitting needles. You are also free to bring your own wool, but samples can be provided.

Equipment Supplied

We will provide some wool for demonstration and practice purposes.
