About the course
The level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care will provide learners with knowledge and understanding of core subject areas in health and social care to support progression to further learning or the workplace. Entry Requirements
A minimum of two GCSEs at grade 5 or above in addition to GCSE English Language at grade 3 or above OR a relevant Level 1 Diploma and a GCSE at Grade 3 in English Language and Mathematics.
Modules
You will be required to complete 4 clusters in total: Equality, diversity and rights in health and social care Safeguarding and protection in health and social care, Creative activities in health and social care Dementia Awareness Communication in health and social care Working in health and social care All units will be internally assessed using a range of methods which could include: written assignments or tasks such as designing a leaflet or booklet, charts or diagrams or setting up an information board or an in class presentation.
Assessment
The qualification will be awarded to learners who achieve an approved combination of units through a Portfolio of Evidence that has been successfully verified and monitored through Gateway Qualifications’ Quality Assurance process. Achievement is therefore determined by successful completion of unit assessment with no further requirement for additional/summative assessment
