A Level 3 qualification in a related health and social care subject area. GCSE Maths and English with a minimum grade C/4. All applicants will also be required to attend an interview. A DBS will also be required
Core modules include: Law, Policy and Ethical Practice in Health and Social Care; Demonstrating Professional Principles and Values in Health and Social Care Practice; Supporting the Individual Journey through Integrated Health and Social Care, Fundamentals of Evidence-based Practice (Pearson-set Project, Health Education in Action; Effective Healthcare practice using Maths; Fundamentals of Anatomy and Physiology for Health and Ill-Health.
Teaching, learning and assessment on this course has been specially designed to help students build their knowledge between modules and between academic and work-based activities. Teaching is delivered by a mixture of formal lectures by industry experts, seminars, workshops, case studies and placements, all supported by live project work to put theory into practice. Assessment involves a combination of coursework, presentation exercises and practical's which will show your industry expertise and knowledge.
Careers & Progression
After completion of the HND in Healthcare Practice you can enter employment as a Healthcare Assistant Practitioner or progress on to BSC (Hons) Adult Nursing, BCs (Hons) in Health and Social Care
