This course offers an outstanding opportunity to develop the range of skills required for anyone looking to start a career in Engineering. It will give you the foundation skills and knowledge in areas such as hand fitting techniques, mechanical maintenance, milling and turning, welding and sheet metal work, alongside support for further development of Maths, English and Information Learning Technology.

A minimum of two GCSEs at Grade 5 or above. Applicants must be hardworking, reliable and motivated. As part of the interview process, Apprentices will undertake a BKSB assessment in English, Mathematics and ICT. Applicants who do not meet the exact entry requirements but hold relevant industry experience are encouraged to apply. Applicants who do not meet the exact entry requirements may also be considered.
You will be assessed using a range of methods to demonstrate your competence of practical skills. Underpinning knowledge will be assessed using written questions and various log books.
