About the course
Classical Civilisation is a study of the great cultures of Ancient Rome and Greece. This course is ideal if you are interested in studying the society and culture of civilisations which have deeply affected the development of the world we live in today. Modules include: Greek and Roman Epic Literature, Greek Tragedy and Women in Athens and Rome. In recent years, the modules have been largely literary based as the team of experienced tutors have all specialised in this area. However, although Classics is primarily a textbased subject, you are regularly encouraged to utilise technology in the Active Learning Zone for research projects both inside and outside of class.
