About the course

Want to work on a construction site? Need your CSCS card? Themis at Burnley College can help. We are a CITB approved Internet Testing Centre for the CSCS range of tests and offer the CITB Site Safety Plus Health and Safety Awareness one-day course and certification. This test is also known as the Touch Screen test or CSCS test. At Themis at Burnley College we run tests on Tuesday mornings and Friday mornings and afternoons. The following CSCS tests are available: CPCS-RT: CPCS renewal test MAP: Health, safety and environment test for managers and professionals OPERATIVES: Health, safety and environment test for operatives SPEC-DEM: Health, safety and environment specialist demolition test SPEC-DUCT: Health, safety and environment specialist HVACR test (ductwork) SPEC-HAPS: Health, safety and environment specialist HVACR test (heating & plumbing) SPEC-HIW: Health, safety and environment specialist highway works test SPEC-LAEE: Health, safety and environment specialist lifts and escalators test SPEC-PFW: Health, safety and environment specialist HVACR test (pipeline & welding) SPEC-PLUM: Health, safety and environment specialist plumbing (JIB) test SPEC-RAAC: Health, safety and environment specialist HVACR test (refrigeration & air conditioning) SPEC-SAF: Health, safety and environment specialist HVACR test (services & facilities) SPEC-SAF: Health, safety and environment specialist supervisors test SPEC-TUNN: Health, safety and environment specialist tunnelling test SPEC-WAH: Health, safety and environment specialist working at height test PLEASE NOTE: You will also need a Health & Safety Qualification in order to qualify for getting your Green Labourer's card along side completing the CSCS Test. The following can be accepted for the Health and Safety Qualification: NVQ Level 2 in construction related skills Apprenticeship in construction Level 1 Award in Health & Safety

Entry Requirements

To undertake this training, delegates must have a current NVQ in a Construction discipline or a relevant level 1 health and safety qualification or IOSH. You can cancel and request a refund or reschedule provided you contact us at least 48 hours before your scheduled test time. If you do not contact us at least 24 hours before it will not be possible to provide you with a refund or offer you the option to reschedule at no additional cost.

Assessment

This is a multiple choice Health, Safety & Environment Test. The test is designed to test your health and safety awareness The test is computer based and assesses you on areas of health, safety and hazards relevant to your specific trade. The majority of workers take the operative CSCS Test.

Careers & Progression

Successful completion of this test will enable you to apply for a CSCS card though CITB and allow you to work on construction sites and progress in the construction industry by taking further qualifications such as NVQ's in Brickwork, Tiling, Carpentry & Joinery or other Health and Safety courses.
