About the course
Studying Business at A Level is an ideal route into the world of Business and Leadership. From marketing to economics, a range of subjects are taught within this course, enabling you to learn about the separate areas of business and giving you a rounded knowledge. This course covers a broad range of business themes including: the aims and objectives of organisations and how they differ in various sectors; decisions to improve human resource, marketing, financial and operational performance, as well as understanding the external influences and constraints impacting the competitiveness of businesses. Each of these modules contains the building blocks you will need to pursue a career in Business and Leadership.

There are plenty of activities and visits to take part in that will help you achieve your ambitions. Past visits have included: • Industry visit to Cadbury World and JCB • Residential trip to Disneyland Paris • Destinations week • Residential visit to New York You will also benefit from a wide range of guest speakers to enrich the curriculum. You will also have the opportunity to participate in a range of activities to gain an insight into how knowledge learned can be applied to a working context. This includes visits to Media City in Salford (home of the BBC) and the chance to take part in the BASE competition, a nationwide event designed to raise awareness of financial and business skills.
