Year 1 (delivered at Burnley College): The standard full time tuition fee rate for this course in 2023/24 for UK students is £9000 per year. Year 2 and 3 (delivered at UCLan): The standard full time tuition fee rate for this course in 2023/24 for UK students is £9250 per year. The standard full time tuition fee for the Foundation year for this course in 2023/24 is £6000.
Entry Requirements
Our typical offer is 64 UCAS Points, including GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or equivalent. Because the course requires students to undertake a work placement, which may involve work with children or vulnerable adults, applicants who are not already in relevant employment will be required to obtain a Statement of Disclosure (DBS), for which a processing fee will be payable. You will also be required to complete a face to face interview.

Assessment
The learning environment on the programme includes a blended interactive online and in class delivery, workshops, and group work. Personal tutorials with your Year Lead, seminars and opportunities to access structured work experience in a community and/or social care setting. You will also have the opportunity to engage in independent study and group work projects. In addition, all students will have a Year Lead and student coach who will support you with any academic and pastoral issues as well as promoting your personal development. A variety of approaches are used in assessing work. Each subject has its own assessment requirements which take the form of essays, group and individual presentations, online portfolios, conference presentations and debates.
Careers & Progression
You’ll also have the opportunity to progress onto one of three other degree programmes: BA (Hons) Children, Schools and Families; Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care (Mental Health) or the Foundation Degree in Children Young People and their Services at Burnley College. upon successful interview.
