BC_Quotation

My time at BCUC has been so positive and gratifying. It has allowed me to be the best example to my two children, as they’ve seen the great resilience and dedication needed to succeed.

Phillip, 50, from Clitheroe came to Burnley College University Courses with an aspiration to build his resilience, knowledge and skills. After receiving a flyer for Adult Learning, Phil decided that it was the perfect time for him to take the next step back into education.

With the support of the BCUC Bursary, Phillip embarked on his Computing degree. His dedication and commitment to his studies allowed him not only to achieve a First Class Honours Degree, but also to receive the prestigious Dissertation Award at our 2023 Graduation Ceremony.

The approachable and empathetic attitude of Phillip’s lecturer’s has provided him with a new aspiration to become a lecturer himself, so that he too can provide Students with positive and gratifying experiences in education.
