Due to continued development within the College Finance team, we are seeking to appoint an experienced, proactive and highly organised Procurement Officer to provide a high quality procurement service across the College.
Working closely with departments throughout the College, you will negotiate with suppliers of goods and services to ensure best value, maintain strong supplier relationships and support the delivery of an efficient and compliant procurement function. You will also contribute to the wider Finance team to help deliver an outstanding support service across the College.
With a good general education, including GCSE Maths at grade C/4 or above, you will also hold a CIPS Level 3 qualification or above. You will have experience of purchasing goods and services within a large organisation, along with experience of working with the Procurement Act 2023, maintaining contract registers and operating goods receipting systems.
You will possess excellent organisational, communication and IT skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience of using electronic tendering systems and purchasing frameworks is essential, together with the ability to work effectively to deadlines and support continuous improvement across procurement processes.
