Raptor-ific! Burnley College’s Science and Technology Festival Returns for a Day of Fantastic Family Fun

From high-tech robots to Jurassic-Park style jungles, teddy bear care to a dancing dinosaurs, Burnley College’s Science and Technology Festival was back and bigger than ever.

Titan the Robot was one of the headline attractions – singing songs, cracking jokes and spraying guests with water.

The immersive Dinosaur Experience engrossed families too – taking them into the realm of the Mesozoic era, where they could meet roaming raptors and pet a baby dino too!

The Teddy Bear Hospital was back too, proving to be one of the most popular attractions, where young people brought their precious friends to the Science, Health and Education team who x-rayed, diagnosed and stitched up the furry patients – adding some extra love on the way.

The family fairground fun immersed and entertained, guests leaving the festival buzzing with excitement and thrilled with their electrifying day, with one parent saying:

“We always end up coming back each year and it never disappoints! None of us wanted it to end as we’ve had such an amazing time.”

On the previous day, Burnley College invited local primary schools to join them for a sneak preview, enjoying an interactive and activity-rich experience while learning more about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects.

Burnley College is passionate about STEM education. Their exceptional facilities, expert tutors and individualised advice and guidance means everyone has the opportunity to succeed in a STEM subject if they share the passion.

Kate Wallace, Interim Principal at Burnley College says:

“The Science and Technology Festival is truly one of the highlights of our whole year for both the people of Burnley and everyone who works here.

“This year there were even more exciting activities and attractions for all ages to enjoy – the return of our Dynamic Dinosaur Experience was certainly a huge hit!
