Exciting New Partnership With Visit Lancashire

We are excited to announce the launch of a new partnership with Visit Lancashire, the region’s leading tourism information provider.

Through regular industry networking events, employer-led projects and best practice sharing sessions, our Business & Professional Services (BPS) division will work alongside Visit Lancashire to ensure that our Travel and Tourism courses reflect the very latest developments in Lancashire’s thriving visitor economy.

Learners will have direct access to work experience opportunities and guest speakers from Visit Lancashire’s extensive network of tourism, hospitality, events and leisure businesses – allowing them to gain the knowledge, skills and confidence that they need for their careers.

Staff will also benefit from this exciting new collaboration, with regular opportunities to engage in industry-led professional development that aligns their teaching with the region’s priorities and skills needs.

They will enhance their knowledge of key areas for growth including the upcoming Eden Project North development in Morecambe and the Tour De France Grand Départ in July 2027, while growing our status as a leading training provider within this bustling sector.

Erin-Mae Connor, Lecturer in Travel and Tourism at Burnley College, says that this partnership marks an incredible new chapter:

“Our first partner meeting with Visit Lancashire at Ribby Hall Village reinforced just how important this partnership is.

“The whole team have been incredibly welcoming and supportive, and we’re very much looking forward to seeing this partnership go from strength to strength.”
