Double Finalist – Themis and Burnley College Secure Two Nominations in Prestigious Business Awards

Themis at Burnley College has been named as a finalist for the Skills Provider of the Year Award at the highly prestigious BIBAs.

The Be Inspired Business Awards (BIBAs) is Lancashire’s largest and longest running business awards programme.

Themis, Burnley College’s highly esteemed apprenticeship training arm’s entry was singled out for its expert teaching, industry-leading facilities, connections with industry and innovation.

It follows an extensive application and interview process. The college as a whole is also nominated as Employer of the Year.

Themis Operations Manager Jessica Parkinson says it reflects the hard work of everyone:

“We pride ourselves on Building Futures and Changing Lives and we passionately believe in the power of Apprenticeships to do exactly that.

“Lancashire is a country steeped in a history of innovation, skill, resilience and rejuvination and Apprenticeships have always played a key role in ensuring that continues.

“From every Apprentice to every trainer-assessor, every business owner to everybody working behind the scenes at Themis, I just want to say a personal thank you.

“With our combined dedication to making Lancashire the home of innovation and excellence we can ensure industry in the region will continue to thrive.”

The glittering ceremony will take place at Blackpool Winter Gardens in September and will see businesses from across the whole of Lancashire come together to celebrate success.

Previous ceremonies have been presented by people such as Strictly star Brendan Cole and seen performances by Russell Watson and Westlife.
